This particular tea cup is from the 1900s, but porcelain crookery was widespread from the second half of the 18th century and it was used for drinking tea or coffee. It was found in the USA and West Europe in the higher social classes households and coffee and pastry shops.
Even today, these porcelain products can be found in many homes, but they are now mainly used as decoration.
